I took Yehuda's advice for learning vim (http://yehudakatz.com/2010/07/29/everyone-who-tried-to-convince-me-to-use-vim-was-wrong/) and embarked last Friday.  Today I surpassed productivity of any inline editor I've used to date on a Mac (in other words sans Visual Studio).
